Coastland | DCCM seeks an experienced Plan Check Manager with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience working in and with municipal building departments. The essential function of the position is to supervise and mentor building plans examining staff. Responsibilities also include performing structural and non-structural plan check for our ongoing municipal clients.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in municipal plan checking.
- ICC and/or ICBO Plans Examiner or Combination certifications.
- CBO, CA Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license desired, but not required.
- BS in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering, or BS in Architecture (preferred).
- California Certified Access Specialist (CASp) is a plus.
- Permit Technician and/or Combination Inspection Certification a plus.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office 365.
- Able to work in a collaborative environment and interact with staff, clients, architects and government agencies.
- Supervisory experience.
- Excellent customer service skills
