Coastland supported the PMC Team in the preparation of the North Station Area Specific Plan for the City of Santa Rosa. The North Santa Rosa Station is one of the 14 stations planned by the Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) for commuter rail service. The Plan identifies opportunities for transit-oriented development that would enhance rail use, strengthen connectivity for pedestrians, bicycles, and transit, and provide for attractive streets and public spaces. The station site is planned at the southeast corner of Guerneville Road and the Northwestern Pacific rail corridor in Santa Rosa. Coastland prepared detailed infrastructure analyses including a range of development concepts and associated costs. The project was funded through MTC for $400,000 with $100,000 in matching funds.
“We have worked with Coastland on many projects and are always pleased with their responsiveness, thoroughness, and ability to find flexible and efficient solutions for our engineering needs. They have been very creative and value conscious; they always keep sight of a project's goals and objectives. We are delighted to have them as part of our team. ”
