Coastland provided design, construction management and inspection on this project which transformed an unsafe intersection in the City of Piedmont. The design enhanced the existing painted island by incorporating curbs and landscaping to improve the geometry and reduce the crosswalk length. Construction included curb and gutter, flagstone sidewalks and walkways, a small box culvert, rock wall and bench and placement of a number of boulders and landscaping. New road signs and pavement striping was also included.
