Funded through the federally-legislated Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program, this project provides a safe and accessible route for pedestrians and bicyclists between E.V Cain School and the adjoining neighborhoods. The project also improves vehicle sight distance. Coastland is providing environmental review, public outreach, right-of-way documents and design for a new Class I bike/ped facility, retaining walls, and road reconstruction in steep terrain on Palm Ave at Highway 49 and Nevada St. The project involves multiple alignments and integral wall/Class I bike facility detail.
“Coastland has been a go-to firm for construction inspection services. Their staff constantly foresee issues before they happen, saving both time and tax payer money. Their in-the-trenches understanding – literally – of how to build projects and partner with contractors has been a benefit to our community.”
